Choose somewhere on the globe

Tap a country or use search. We will compare its search interest with other countries—not tell you what everyone there thinks or does.

Google adjusts for each country’s overall search activity, but results can be noisier in smaller markets. Topics marked “limited data” are not included in the four-topic comparison.

Worldwide rankings

Where each topic draws the most search interest

These rankings compare each topic’s share of Google searches across countries. They do not use raw search volume, so countries with larger populations do not automatically rank higher.

Global comparisons

Five leading countries for topics with broad data.

Early signals

Only three countries are shown because these topics have limited country data.

Rankings reflect search curiosity over the past five years—not what people in a country prefer, believe, or do. Tied countries share the same position.

How to read the map

A signal of curiosity, not behavior

Darker countries show stronger search interest in the selected topic compared with the rest of the world. The map does not measure what people believe, prefer, or do.

83

countries with all 4 topics

Only these countries have enough data for us to name what stands out.

5 years

A longer window reduces the influence of short-lived spikes.

Where the numbers come from

A fairer comparison between countries

Google Trends measures each topic as a share of all Google searches in a country instead of using raw search counts. This keeps countries with larger populations from automatically ranking higher.

Each topic uses Google’s group of related searches across languages. We compare countries over five years, then turn the results into the plain-language ranges shown above. Data source: Google Trends via SerpApi.

Beyond the map

Curiosity is a beginning, not an answer.
